The Sea,
once it casts its spell,
holds one in its
net of wonder
forever.
~ Jacques Cousteau
We are all settled in and the weather is perfect every day.
We have to amuse ourselves Via the children and put them through endless
Adventures. Last night after dark it was the traditional Crab hunt with
flashlights. A few of us sat back at the Cottage to watch the Lights running
everywhere, and of course to listen to the screams.
M brought his old Metal detector and we set up a large field
of (Treasures) on the beach. If it wasn’t metal (Sharks Teeth etc.) then it was
buried with a coin so that things could be more fun. We talked Grandpa into the
hard work of running the machine while M & I joined the others to watch and
laugh as sand flew at every beep and the kids had their booty.
A vacation is like love,
anticipated with pleasure,
experienced with discomfort,
and remembered
with
nostalgia.
