The only thing that stands between a man
and what he
wants from life
is often merely the will to try it
and the faith to believe
that it is possible.
~DeVos

The weather has turned rainy and cold. The wind is coming
across the bay in sharp, violent gusts.
The seasoned sailors in my neighborhood would say "it's blowing
like stink" but for me it just
means that it is not yet time to start planting my window boxes.
A close friend gave me herbs for my birthday and
I'm already
anxious to be planting. This year my
window box's will hold herbs and lettuce instead of flowers. I miss the luxury of having the space
for a big garden, so I'm forever trying
to find small unwanted spaces to plant. Of
course it's way too early to plant but to me the whole idea of gardening
is the
journey. First, I can dream about what to plant, then the planning stage
where
I can look over the catalogs, followed
by the trips to the garden center. One day M will help me and we will
actually
do the planting. For now, it's just the
dreaming part. I don't want to rush spring but all of the signs are
here. I
could taste some fresh peas from the garden with the beautiful fresh
trout M is
catching!

We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world.
