"I think dogs are the most
amazing creatures;
they give unconditional love.
For me they are the role model
for being alive."
~ Gilda Radner
M asked me what I felt like writing about and I told him I wanted to be a dog. Not a dog exactly, but rather one of my dogs. You see I have the beautiful Molly who is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, and Mr. Weasley who is an apricot toy poodle. The two dogs could not be any more different from one another.
Miss Molly is loved by anyone who sees her. Although five years old, she always looks like a puppy with those big Spaniel eyes. She is certain that everyone and everything is her friend and this is how she walks through the world. I think she would stroll right up to a Lion and expect a soft voice and a pet or kiss. She does have a little devil in her too. She is very demanding and as soon as you satisfy her current demand, she comes up with the next one. Fortunately, on most days she sleeps a lot.
Mr. Weasley on the other hand is a little funny in the appearance department. His right eye is smaller than his left which often leaves him looking squinty and quizzical, and his overall vibe is that of someone's slightly shabby antique stuffed animal. He came to us through some friends who had some changes in their life which were not really conducive to having a dog at the time. I'm pretty sure that they want him back now but he is my little sweety boy and Molly's pet. One thing is for sure. If you could take love, loyalty, and faithfulness beyond measure and put them in a 6 pound package, you would have created Mr. W. Whereas Molly can be aloof while reviling in her own beauty, Mr. W is belly up and soooo exited to see you that he can't stand himself. I think he's going to have a seizure every single morning when M gets up. Each morning without fail, W behaves as though they have been apart for months and that now that they are together again his life is complete.
So,,,,,,When I tell M that I want to be a dog. I wonder if he knows that I want to be beautiful, loved, loving, and that every day HE makes my life complete?

Your dogs are beautiful! I agree with everything. I asked my husband about a month ago upon arriving home from work and coming up the stairs "could you be this way and go crazy for me, acting like we have been apart for years the way Jake (our dog) does when I come home?" His response was "every day?" We both laughed and I told him then, I will always need a dog!They just love you so much and I think they feel our love for them. Have a great week, I enjoy your blog, Heather (your flickr friend)
